Daniel Parker

Daniel is an Assistant Director of Special Education with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (WI DPI).  Previously, Daniel was the Autism Consultant as well as Family Engagement consultant for WI DPI and facilitated updated guidance for Wisconsin’s College and Career IEPs: Improving Outcomes for Students 3 through 21.  Daniel has a unique blend of home based, general and special education teaching, and administrative background at the school, district, and statewide levels.  His interests include data analysis, self-determination, family engagement, positive behavior interventions, and cross agency/organization collaboration. Daniel received a Master’s Degree in Human Development and Family Life and a Master’s Degree in Special Education both from the University of Kansas.  He has a wife, Sarah, a cat, Lily, and the cutest dog in the world, ZuZu.


Alicia Reinhard

Alicia Reinhard is an Education Consultant on the Special Education Team at the WI Department of Public Instruction. Prior to starting at DPI in October 2018,  Alicia was a transition coordinator and special education teacher. Alicia holds a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from UW Madison and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University. Outside of schools, Alicia has 12+ years of experience as a therapist for children with autism and serves as a board member for the Family Support and Resource Center. Alicia lives in Madison with her husband and daughter and outside of work enjoys traveling and yoga.


Daniel Seddiqui

Daniel Seddiqui is an international bestselling author, inspiring keynote speaker, and education and travel entrepreneur. His unwavering curiosity and love of people has led him to discover America in uncharted ways and has crisscrossed 50 states numerous times learning about our diverse careers, cultures, and environments. Danie's work has been an inspiration to those in economic hardship and cultural crisis. He's appeared on countless international media outlets. Daniel studied at the University of Oregon and the University of Southern California, where he competed in Track & Field and Cross Country.


Patti Williams

Patti Williams is the Director of the Special Education Team with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI).? Prior to this position, Ms. Williams was an Assistant Director on DPI’s Special Education Team who oversaw Wisconsin’s special education dispute resolution system and the department’s monitoring system to ensure compliance with state and federal special education law. Ms. Williams is a proud recipient of a public school education- graduating from Marshall University, a Minneapolis Public High School, receiving a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota, and receiving a law degree from the University of Wisconsin. Prior to her position with the department, she worked in private practice, served as a clerk for the Wisconsin Court of Appeals, and taught at the University of Wisconsin Law School. Ms. Williams has spoken nationally as well as state-wide on special education topics and dispute resolution systems. 


Matthew & Mitchell LaBerge

Matthew LaBerge is 26 years-old, living independently and employed in the Green Bay area. He earned an Associate Degree in Marketing with a Digital Marketing emphasis and a Technical Diploma in Website Design. He also has earned a Technical Certificate in Promotions & Event Management. Last summer, Matthew served as a Camp Counselor at Camp Southern Ground in Georgia, an inclusive camp that serves all children. He is now employed as a Special Education Paraprofessional in the Howard-Suamico School District and will discuss the transition from high school to college and the importance of inclusive environments.

 

Mitchell LaBerge is 26 years-old, living independently and employed in the Green Bay area. He was married in July 2022 and is living with his wife, Tayer. Mitchell earned an Associate Degree in Marketing with a Digital Marketing emphasis and Technical Certificates in Promotions and Event Management and Hotel Management. Mitchell is in his 6th season as an employee in the Guest Assistance division for the Green Bay Packers and also works at St. Norbert College in the Dining Services department. Mitchell discusses how perseverance and a positive mindset has allowed him to work through medical and other challenges in his transition from high school to college as well as the importance of inclusion in education and employment.
